Big Bear RV Park is family owned and operated. Our clean and friendly campground has much to offer the Alaskan traveler. Centrally located in the heart of the Mat-Su Valley just a few miles from both the cities of Palmer and Wasilla, (and only 37 miles from Anchorage). We provide a great location to set up and set out on day trips to explore the surrounding areas. Our park is a destination-must for visitors and locals who wish to get out whether you’re RV or tent camping or needing a cabin getaway.
Our park has a total of 47 RV sites, 6 cabins and 6 tent sites. Showers, WiFi, potable water and dump station are included with those staying. (Tengo Internet is our WiFi provider). Potable water throughout the park for guests choosing electric only sites and our dump station is centrally located. Non camping customers can fill up with water and dump for a fee.
We have a variety of site types to choose from; pull-thru’s to back ins, 50/30 amp at Deluxe sites to 30 amp only sites, sites from 40′ to 75′ long and Big Rig friendly. We provide a fire ring and picnic table at each site and a playground centrally located. We have a large laundry room with a tv, tables and chairs, games, book and video exchange as well as an ironing board and iron. Change for machines can be obtained from office when we are open.
We provide coded clean and non coin operated hot showers. We also have a Propane fill up station. We have a compressor to fill up your big rig tires. Our pavilion includes propane grills for our guests to barbecue, a propane fire feature to sit around and relax and a variety of games. We also have a horseshoe pit that is centrally located. Firewood is available at the office for a fee. $7.99 Late checkout’s available upon request for a fee.

My son and I just stayed in one of the dry cabins for 2 nights. It was adorable. It was plenty big enough for the two of us. It had plenty of bedding and towels included. The staff and owners were very friendly. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. We hope to stay there again soon.
